Road bikes

Road riding in Sydney is rolling rather than mountainous, including the eastern suburbs and Centennial Park, the coast road north, the long flats out to Cape Solander, and the harder days into the Royal National Park and the Three Gorges. The right road bike for here is one that's comfortable for 90 minutes on undulating roads, quick when you want it to be.

We carry road bikes across every tier. Entry-level Trek and Orbea alloy frames at $2,000–3,500 for new riders. Mid-tier carbon lines for $4,000–8,000. At the top, custom and bespoke from Parlee (Massachusetts handbuilt carbon), FiftyOne (Dublin handbuilt carbon), Factor, and Passoni (Milan handbuilt titanium) — bikes specced and sized to you.

Most modern road bikes share more in common than not: carbon frame, disc brakes, 28–32mm tyres, integrated cockpits, electronic shifting. What you're choosing between is geometry character — endurance-leaning bikes for comfort over distance, race-leaning bikes for handling and stiffness, or time-trial — and the kind of relationship you want with the bike. You can buy bikes off the floor and ride home. Or a bespoke bike is three to six months from order to delivery.

Before you commit at any tier, book a pre-purchase fitting. The right size and the right contact points matter more than the brand on the down tube. We fit on bikes you didn't buy from us. Free first service on every bike sold.
