On Saturday 14 November 2026 a few hundred riders leave North Bondi at first light and ride to Berry, down through the Royal National Park and the south coast. Every dollar raised goes to dementia research. MC Cyclery is a long-term sponsor, and riders from MC Velo line up every year.

It is a long day with real climbing in it, and the back half along the coast is where it bites. Riders raise a minimum amount each to take part, and the ride is run by the Dementia Research Community, who handle entries, training rides and everything on the day.

Getting bikes ready
Our Kensington workshop preps bikes in the weeks before the ride. 155 km with 1,700 m of climbing finds every tired chain, worn pad and seized cable, and November is a busy time in the workshop - so book early rather than the week of. Book a service.
MC Velo on the road
Riders from MC Velo take part every year. If you're thinking about entering and want company on the training rides, come and find us on a weekend ride and ask - someone in the bunch has done it before.
