Work at MC
Working here.
MC has been trading in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs since 1975, and on Anzac Parade in Kensington since 2022. It's one shop and a small team, so the roles are broad and no two days look quite the same. When something's open, it's listed here.
Before you apply
What the job actually is
One shop, small team
There's no head office and no branches. Everyone on the floor also answers the phone, takes the bookings, and sweeps up at the end of the day. You'll know the regulars by name inside a month.
The work is broad
In one week the workshop might see a twenty-year-old commuter, a warranty job, and a custom build. If only one of those interests you, it makes for a long week. If all three do, it makes for a good job.
You will end up riding
Open rides roll out from the shop Tuesday and Saturday mornings, no-drop, all paces. Staff ride them. Nobody has to — but it is a fair part of why people stay.
The practical stuff
- Industry pricing on bikes, parts and kit — the terms we get are the terms you get.
- MC Velo membership, and the weekly rides out of the shop.
- 108 Anzac Parade, Kensington. Bus and light rail at the door, parking underneath.
- Full time, part time and casual, depending on the role.
What we can't offer is a big-company structure — there's no training budget or career ladder drawn up on a wall. What there is instead is a small business where the work you do is visible, and where you can change how something is done by saying so.
Send us your CV anyway
None of the above quite you, but you think you’d fit here? Tell us who you are and we’ll keep it on file. It’s how a fair few people have ended up working here.
Got it — thanks.
Your application is in the team inbox. We read every one and we’ll come back to you either way. If you don’t hear anything in a couple of weeks, give us a ring on 02 9349 2154.
