We love our CAADs

This week were pleased to hear of road.cc awarding 2019/20 road bike of the year to the CAAD13. This is no mean feat when considering the competitive field of all road bikes (including carbon) valued at less than £3,500 ($6,600). That’s the kind of value and performance assessment we like at MC, keeping the CAAD at the top of its peers!

Cycling in the Winter Sunshine

Now a few years into “retirement”, and having finished renovations to our Noosa apartment, it was time to enter some of the Grand Fondos around my new Queensland base. Last July I had completed the final day of Velothon Sunshine Coast, a three day event based out of Maroochydore - an enjoyable 90km in the hinterland we

Rider Story - The Pioneer

Every now and then, it’s a good idea to try or do something that is outside your comfort zone, or in this case, well outside your comfort zone. 12 months ago, a good friend and frequent riding buddy of mine Andrew suggested that we sign up to participate in The Pioneer Mountain Bike race in Queenstown NZ. The Pioneer i

Rider Story - The Autumn Classics...a B2B with 'Team MC'

So the furthest west I’ve ever ventured is ANZAC Parade, only kidding but the furthest I’d travelled into deepest darkest NSW (without the aid of wings and a jet engine marmalade sandwich) was Blackheath. So I was in truly uncharted territory winding my way through the Blue Mountains to Bathurst with 24 or so regular M

THE PROLOGUE (okay lets call it a TT) I can’t decide what is worse, the deafening metallic hum of the MRI scanner or the constant ache in my shoulder…who am I kidding, the shoulder wins hands down.  Next I ask myself: how did I get here?  The answer: proof of that tried and true equation, NEWBIE + CLIPLESS PEDALS = DIS

Rider Story - Cycling... a perspective from the rear-gunner

Hi, my name is James and I‘m one of the new employees in the UK.  Last week I was casually invited to join a bicycle ride on Sunday morning touted as an opportunity to meet a few people. I was particularly keen to attend as I was told that Andrew our CEO would be there, and I had visions of cycling through our beautifu

The Tour Downunder, it’ll be fun they say, come for the food and wine they say, do the Bupa ride they say…can’t say I was all too fond of “they” after the first 2 days.   So after about 8 1/2 months off the bike it was back into it with the MC.  Easy Tuesday morning roll out, and by easy I mean I rode to Nesto’s and ha

Little did Jess and I know that in little under a year after dipping our toes into the cycling world we would be attempting and completing a seriously challenging 165 km event known as Fitz’s Challenge. Rider Story - "Lanterne Rouge" (Anna's Story)

If you know me, you know two things (other than my obsession with Nutella): in the afternoons following my long weekend rides I can be found asleep on the couch cuddling a family-size bag of Doritos; and I hate riding uphill.
