X-LAB joins the MC bike lineup
X-LAB, from the maker behind the XDS Astana WorldTour team, is now at MC: road, gravel and e-bikes built on Shimano.
X-LAB comes from XDS, which has more than 30 years of bike manufacturing behind it and runs the XDS Astana WorldTour team.
X-LAB is now part of the MC lineup, alongside the brands we already carry. Racing bikes are what put X-LAB on the map, but most of the range is built for the riding the rest of us do - every day.
The RS7 is the pick of the road range. It's a carbon road bike with race-bike handling and geometry that stays comfortable on long weekend rides, with Shimano 105 or 105 Di2, disc brakes and carbon wheels. The RS5 is its alloy sibling, an endurance road bike with Shimano 105 and a relaxed position for longer days and the ride to work, and a sensible first road bike for someone new to the sport.
For riding off the tarmac, the GT8 is X-LAB's carbon gravel bike. It runs Shimano GRX Di2 and has room for tyres up to 55 mm, which covers most of what Sydney's fire trails and dirt back roads can throw at it.
On the electric side, the SP5+ is a light, sporty e-bike with a mid-drive motor and a Shimano CUES drivetrain, made for commuting and getting out more often. The ST5+ does the same job with a more upright, everyday setup, and the SP3 is a simple city and fitness bike for riders starting out. The range runs on Shimano drivetrains.
We've added X-LAB because it brings a lot of bike to an accessible price, with a warranty on both frames and components. More and more riders have been asking us about it. If it's already on your list, or you want a bike on proven Shimano parts with a racing pedigree behind it, it's now an option at MC.
X-LAB is at the MC Clubhouse as bikes arrive.
Talk to us before you commit, and we'll help you work out which X-LAB suits the way you ride.
You'll find X-LAB on our brands page, and we'll add bikes online as they land.
